Shannon Simmons

Professional: Dr. Simmons is an experienced personal trainer and professor in Corban’s exercise science program. She acts as the direct supervisor of the athlete strength and conditioning program at Corban and is a member of American College of Sports Medicine and The National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Simmons published her first book, Real-Life Healthy You, in 2014. She also has published several peer-reviewed journal articles on the topics of childhood obesity and physical activity.

Personal: Shannon is married to her husband, Tyrone, and they have three children. She is involved in worship ministry at her church and volunteers as a Sunday school teacher. Her favorite food is sushi, especially from Momiji’s or Sinju. Shannon is passionate about fitness, and she loves going for a run in the country and enjoying God’s beautiful masterpiece.
