John Wilson

Professor of English

B.A. University of Oregon
M.A. University of Oregon

Ed.M. Oregon State University
Ph.D. University of Oregon

Professional: Dr. Wilson has been at Corban for nine years. Before that, he had a number of teaching assignments including stints at private prep-schools, George Fox and College of the Ozarks. He has studied and taught at length overseas. He spent time in Italy, having received a Fulbright Grant for a year’s study in Florence, and an NEH grant for study of Francis of Assisi, and he has taught both History of Western Art and Modern European Literature in Corban’s Germany-based Ambex program.

Personal: Beyond family, faith, and friends (and grading papers!), John spends as much time as he can hiking, skiing, travelling and working out.

Why Corban: “Above all, what makes Corban special are two things: its mission and its people. Both are unparalleled. There is no workplace at which I’d rather be.”
