Professional: Professor Bartsch teaches music theory and composition. Before coming to teach at Corban in 1991, he served as accompanist and arranger for Back to the Bible Quartet and Choir in Lincoln, Nebraska, and taught at Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, Nebraska. He has also been a church organist.

Professor Bartsch is a skilled composer who has published numerous original compositions and arrangements, including “God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen” for handbells and orchestra, “How Could It Be, Little Child” for S.A.T.B. choir and piano, and “Spirit Wind” for three to five octaves of handbells.

Personal: John is married with three grown children and nine grandchildren. He enjoys walking, being with grandchildren, visiting with neighbors and writing music for school, church and friends.

Corban is truly set apart to teach spiritual values to young students. I am thrilled to see what God is doing through our students and through our graduates, as they grow in maturity and serve Him throughout the world.”
