Professional: Dr. Payne has been involved in education for more than 12 years, beginning with non-directive play therapy/group instruction and general teaching for elementary-aged students. He also spent five years as the Director of Education for Amen Clinics, Inc., and an additional three years as their Director of Human Resources.

Dr. Payne is the author of four books: Change Your Brain, Change Your Life Before 25 (2014), Understanding Differences in Perceptions of Effective Urban Elementary School Principals Among Various Educational Stakeholders (2012), Making a Good Brain Great: High School Course (2009), and What I Learned from a Penguin: A Story on How to Help People Change (2006).

Personal: Jesse has been married to Breanne since 2004, and they have two children, Elias and Emmy. Jesse’s interests include USC football, NFL fantasy football, technology and cars.
