Dave Johnson resigns from Corban

  • Dave Johnson resigned as Corban’s Director of Athletics on Nov. 13.

After three years at Corban, the University’s director of athletics is pursuing new opportunities.

“It is with great sadness that I announce that Dave Johnson has resigned his position as Director of Athletics with the University,” said Corban President elect Dr. Sheldon Nord. “During the past three years, he has worked both for the University and Corban’s student-athletes in a positive light. I pray for him, the Department of Athletics, and the University during this transition.”

Johnson started as Director of Athletics in 2009 and has overseen the growth of many areas within the athletic department. This includes the first-ever Warrior Hall of Fame induction ceremony and the annual 12 Hours at Corban relay race. He also played an integral role in bringing the 2012 and 2013 NAIA Men’s Golf National Championships to Salem.

Current Assistant Director of Athletics Tim Seiber will assume the role of Director of Athletics on an interim basis. A search for Johnson’s replacement will begin soon.
