Guest Piano Recital - Dr. Roger McVey

October 2 – 7:30 p.m.
(Piano Masterclass at Noon)

American pianist Roger McVey presents works by Liszt, Diemer, and Schubert. Dr. McVey is an associate professor of piano at the University of Idaho and has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist throughout the world.

 


Composition Recital - Devin Desmond

October 11 – 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Desmond presents original works for percussion, voice, jazz combo, and saxophone quartet with pantomine artist.

 


General Student Recital

October 16 – 12:00 p.m.

This recital features a variety of solo performances by Corban music students. Pieces can range from classical to contemporary works, including some student compositions.

 


Choir Concert

October 18 – 7:30 p.m.

The Corban University Concert and Chamber Choirs present sacred and secular works collected from classical, contemporary, and vocal jazz genres.

 


Band and Orchestra Concert

October 19 – 7:30 p.m.

The Corban University Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra mark the eve of Corban's Homecoming celebration with a collection of classical and modern repertoire.

 


Jazz Night

November 2 – 7:30 p.m.

The Corban Jazz Band performs a lively selection of big band, modern, and jazz combo music at Salem First Baptist Church.

 


General Student Recital

This recital will feature solo performances by Corban music students on various instruments. Pieces can range from classical to contemporary works, including some student compositions.

 


Graduation Recital - Athena Robinson, piano

December 2 – 4:00 p.m.

Miss Robinson presents her graduation recital as a music major. This recital will include musical compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, and Dohnanyi.

This recital will feature solo performances by Corban music students on various instruments. Pieces can range from classical to contemporary works, including some student compositions.

 


Christmas at Corban

December 7 – 7:30 p.m.
December 8 – 3:00 p.m.

Corban University’s Music Department presents music for Christmas, featuring each of Corban’s instrumental and choral ensembles. These concerts are free and open to the public. Donations will be received.
