Job Description:

The Oregon FFA Foundation is launching a national search for an executive director.  Over the past seven years, the Foundation achieved tremendous growth under the leadership of its executive director, Kevin White.  During his tenure, the Foundation’s annual fundraising collections increased from about $6,000 to more than $600,000 per year. 
 
Kirk Maag, who chairs the Foundation’s executive director search committee, explained that “the Foundation has benefitted from the vision and leadership of Kevin White.  The Foundation has an active, dedicated Board of Directors that looks forward to working with the next executive director to build on Kevin’s work and to continue the important work of funding the programs and activities of the Oregon FFA Association.” 
 
The Foundation’s mission is to coordinate sustainable, long-term funding for agriculture education and the Oregon FFA Association.  Oregon FFA has a sharp focus and clear objective:  develop leaders for agriculture.  Each year, Oregon FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of more than 6,700 student members by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.  The Foundation has aggressive fundraising goals to further its mission and seeks a new leader to build on the Foundation’s growth. 
 
Neither the Oregon FFA Association nor Oregon FFA Foundation receives any state or federal funding.  This means that the Oregon FFA Association relies on the Oregon FFA Foundation to fund its programs. 
 
Qualifications:

The Foundation seeks a proven leader with an entrepreneurial vision who understands and appreciates agricultural education and FFA’s rich history and traditions.  The executive director will report to the Foundation’s Board of Directors and will be responsible for planning and leading fundraising, developing and managing staff and budgets, and maintaining the Foundation’s external relationships.
