Job Description:

Camp Cascade is located in the Elkhorn Canyon, a rustic sports camp in the canyon of the Cascade mountains of Oregon, we are looking for a qualified individual to work as our Head Chef. Our kitchen serves buffet style for 200+ people every week. Responsibilities include all aspects of menu creation, food preparation, cooking and general kitchen functions at Camp Cascade. Willingness to teach, train, and work alongside kitchen staff as an encouraging leader of the team.

*Hourly wage, plus room and board.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee food preparation and supervises the operation of the kitchen and dining hall.
  • Operate kitchen in compliance with Marion County and Oregon Health Regulations and Camp Cascade kitchen policies.
  • Cost Control; Calculating and setting budget targets: Including price per meal, food, and overhead costs.
  • Responsible for the preparation, cooking, serving, and storage of food.
  • Providing special food preferences for guests as needed due to allergies and dietary.
  • Inventory Management of all food and kitchen products.
  • Designing + Planning all meals alongside the Director of Food Service.
  • Responsible for receiving and storing all products from FSA (Food provider).
