Description: A part-time salaried position (20 hrs.) with phone and mileage allowance, health reimbursement account and potential for tuition assistance

Responsible to: Director of student ministries

Relates closely to: Joel Woodard, Barry Arnold, Polly Carl, other staff, ministry team leaders

Measurable Criteria:

  • Agreement with Cornerstone’s mission, goals, statement of faith and position statements
  • At least one-year experience working in youth ministry

Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist with programs according to the vision for the youth ministry
  • Recruit and train volunteer leaders
  • Build relationships with students within Cornerstone and help them reach their friends
  • Pursue students outside of scheduled meeting times
  • Build and maintain quality relationships with parents
  • Help manage the youth ministry budget
  • Manage Breeze software information and calendar
  • Involve students in the ministry of the church as a whole, supporting and participating in the church’s vision, worship services, and activities 
  • Meet weekly with Joel
  • Meet weekly with Director for updates and programming

  • Agree with Cornerstone’s doctrine and position statements

 

Reviews:

  1. Performance evaluation by supervisor: First year considered an internship; 30, 60-day, annual evaluations
